In the third and final Presidential debate, Romney repeated a lie that has been debunked repeatedly for years by a range of media sources. \u00a0Romney repeated the lie in the 2nd Presidential debate and was called on it. \u00a0He repeated the lie during the GOP convention and was called on it. \u00a0See below for a sampling of the many, many times this lie has been debunked,\u00a0dating back to the early days of Obama’s Presidency, some in direct response to Romney’s own lying months before the final debate:<\/p>\n

Lying and repeating misinformation is a common tactic on the right, particularly on Fox News Channel. \u00a0Minutes after the final debate, I tuned in to Fox to hear some blowhard acclaiming Romney’s performance (paraphrasing): “Romney levied a\u00a0devastating\u00a0attack on Obama and his apology tour. Obama was speechless”. \u00a0Fox must have shown their talking heads a different debate! \u00a0The debate most Americans saw didn’t show Romney\u00a0devastating\u00a0much of anything, but I digress.<\/p>\n

To me, regularly repeating a lie that has been exposed so many times over several years is a sign of how petty Romney is and how he will say anything to get elected. \u00a0No one, not me, not any Republicans or Democrats, can or should count on what Romney says being true. \u00a0I don’t even think he knows what he believes any more….I hope Americans don’t put their trust in a guy who has been so thoroughly exposed as a chronic fibber and flip-flopper.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
